Arts Asia: Musical Event, Baithak Saturday 29 June, 7.30pm | Reading Museum An intimate evening of ghazals with Mehboob Nadeem (vocals), Jasdeep Singh (dilruba) and Dheeraj Sahai-Mishra (tabla). The Museum space will be transformed into the 19th century court of the Maharajah of Benares. Enjoy a walking tour exploring the heart of medieval Reading led by our trained volunteer guides. This tour takes you to the highlights of the Abbey Quarter, including the Hospitium where medieval pilgrims stayed, the impressive conserved Reading Abbey ruins and ends in a unique visit inside the Abbey Gateway, the grand entrance to the Abbot’s Lodgings which became Queen Elizabeth I’s royal residence.
